We never would have thought to ask the doctor for a letter about the stroller. Wrapping dollar store toys in wrapping paper is a sure-fire way to keep the journey exciting for any child.RedwoodLChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03305778850098920080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-892843582122483576.post-76362782531232693602010-05-17T19:38:54.295-06:002010-05-17T19:38:54.295-06:00Great info! As a seasoned traveler myself, I would like to add a few things that have come in handy for me.
1) If your child is on medications, supplements, or shots that are liquid, you can bring them through security. Just make sure you take them out and declare it. You also can have a reasonable sized ice pack on it.

2) Electronic devices are not allowed during taxi, takeoff and landing. Make sure you are equiped with things that will entertain your child during those times. This is not the time for them to be up walking around either. So, I personally go to the dollar store and purchase 10-12 small items. I wrap them up in wrapping paper and put them in the carryon. Every time we need a distraction, I pull out a new present! They are also great for rewarding good behavior!

3) Airlines are "not liable" for damage to strollers. If you have a great docter, have them write you a note explaining that your stroller should be treated as a "medical assistive device". My daughter needed a stroller for years to give her a place to retreat from overstimmulating situations. If you declare to the airline that your stroller is a medical assistive device, they are liable for it, and then they will take much better care of it.Brittanynoreply@blogger.com
